Product Description
The IC695CRU320 is a 1 GHz CPU from the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSytems product line. IC695CRU320 is a programmable automation controller that supports Hot Standby Redundancy. This robust design enables critical applications or processes to continue running even if an otherwise system-stopping failure occurs in any single component. The RX3i CPUs like IC695CRU320 are portable control engines, programmed and configured to control different machines, processes, and material handling systems in real time.
The IC695CRU320 has two independent serial ports, and an Intel Celeron-M microprocessor. Its 64 MB of non-volatile flash memory supplements 64 MB of battery-backed random access memory (RAM). The IC695CRU320 also supports both local and remote expansion racks. The CPU has a serial backplane design compatible with expansion modules (but not main racks) in the Series 90-30 I/O product line. IC695CRU320 uses Proficy Machine Edition, the development environment common to all GE Fanuc controllers. Proficy Machine Edition is made specifically for creating, running and diagnosing operator interface, motion and control applications.
Eight indicator LEDs on the space-saving CPU chassis help with troubleshooting. Each LED is associated with a separate function, except for the two LEDs labeled COM 1 and COM 2, which belong to different ports rather than to different functions. The other LEDs are CPU OK, Run, Outputs Enabled, I/O Force, Battery, and Sys Flt — which is an abbreviation for “system fault.” The I/O Force LED indicates whether Override is active on a bit reference. Other LED labels are self-explanatory. IC695CRU320 chassis design puts all LEDs and both serial ports facing forward for the sake of easy access and visibility.
